Privacy Policy
Effective 4 October 2026.
This policy describes what Productions Squeeze inc. (“Squeeze”, “we”) collects when you visit cracke.com: the website, its newsletter, Cracké Rush when it is offered there, and the embedded video players. It does not cover the third-party sites we link to — the shop, our social accounts, YouTube — each of which has its own policy.
What the site collects
Very little.
- The site sets no advertising cookies and does not follow you across other sites. It does use two traffic measurement tools, described below.
- Cracké Rush keeps your progress on your device and sends us gameplay statistics, with no name — see its own section below.
- The site is hosted on Squeeze's own servers and may be delivered through Cloudflare. Both keep technical logs (IP address, date, page requested, browser type) needed to keep the service secure and working. These logs are not used for profiling or advertising.
Traffic measurement
We want to know which pages get read and where visits come from. For that we use two tools: Cloudflare Web Analytics, cookieless, on every page, and Google Analytics 4, only if you accept it.
Cloudflare Web Analytics, on every page
Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which delivers the site, counts visits with its Cloudflare Web Analytics tool. It runs on every page, whether you accepted or declined Google’s measurement.
- It does not set any cookies, does not use your browser’s storage, and does not recognise you from one visit to the next.
- It records the page viewed, the page you came from, the type of browser, operating system and device, the country, and the page load time. Cloudflare states that it does not use the IP address to identify visitors.
- It is not used for advertising or profiling. We only receive totals from it: number of visits, pages read, where visits come from.
- Processing may take place outside Canada, including in the United States.
Google Analytics 4, only if you accept it
We also use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), configured as narrowly as the tool allows.
- No advertising, no profiling. Google’s advertising signals (Google Signals) and ad personalisation are turned off in our configuration. We do not sell or trade this information.
- You decide. In the regions where we ask for your consent, Google Analytics measures nothing and sets no cookie until you click “Accept”. Elsewhere, it starts and you can decline it at any time, through the same link. This choice only covers Google Analytics: Cloudflare’s cookieless measurement continues.
- To change your mind, click Traffic measurement at the bottom of any page. Declining deletes the cookies already set.
- We honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we Google Analytics measures nothing and we ask you nothing.
- The cookies set (
_ga) are used to tell visits apart. They expire after 13 months. - Google acts here as our provider. Processing may take place on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Google states that it does not store individual IP addresses in Google Analytics 4.
The newsletter
The newsletter is for adults only (18 and over). It is meant for parents and adult fans of Cracké.
If you subscribe, we collect your email address, first name and the language of the page, and the fact that you subscribed from this site. We use them to send you the Cracké newsletter: news, new episodes, the game, events and Cracké products.
- The form asks for your year of birth. It is used only to check, in your browser, that you are an adult: it is not sent to us. If the year entered is that of a minor, the form is not sent, and this browser remembers it.
- Emails from Productions Squeeze inc., the studio behind Cracké, are optional: you receive them only if you tick the box for them on the form.
- Subscription relies on your explicit consent, given by ticking the boxes on the form. Canada's anti-spam law requires us to be able to prove it, so we keep the date of your consent and where you gave it (the form on this site).
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every mailing, or by writing to [email protected].
- The newsletter is delivered by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), whose servers are in the United States, so your information is stored outside Canada.
The Cracké Rush game
The game runs in your browser. It saves on your device:
- the nickname you choose — the game itself asks for “a nickname, not your real name”;
- a randomly generated identifier the game uses to tie your sessions together on that device;
- your progress: records, feathers, unlocked keepsakes and settings.
Your nickname and your progress are not sent to us. They live in your browser’s local storage: clearing your browser data, switching devices or browsing privately erases them.
To improve the game, it sends us gameplay statistics: for example when a run starts and ends, the distance and score reached, and the settings used. They are tied to the random identifier above and to your country, which our server deduces from the connection without keeping your IP address. They contain no name, no email and no nickname, and are not used for advertising. The game contains no advertising.
The game announces a global leaderboard as “coming”. It is not active: today, no ranking is transmitted or published. If and when it is, this policy will be updated before it goes live.
Videos and fonts
Videos are hosted by YouTube and played in an embedded player. When you start a video, YouTube may set its own cookies and identifiers on your device. We do not receive that data, and the collection is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
The site’s typefaces are served from our own server: no third party is contacted to display them.
Children
Cracké is made for a broad audience, children included. We account for that.
- The newsletter form is the only place where we ask you to give us personal information directly. The game nickname never leaves your device.
- Traffic measurement is never used for advertising: Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies, Google Analytics is configured with no advertising signals, and we are not trying to learn who you are — only which pages get read.
- The newsletter is for adults only. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from minors, and the form refuses to send when the year of birth entered is that of a minor.
- If we learn that a minor has subscribed, we delete the subscription and the information without delay.
- A parent or guardian who believes we hold information about their child can write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
Retention
Subscription details are kept for as long as you remain subscribed.
When you unsubscribe, we stop sending you the newsletter. We may keep the minimum information needed to honour your request, to show that we met our legal obligations, and to prevent a new subscription being created by mistake.
Hosting and Cloudflare logs are kept for a short period, for security.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We share it only with the providers that process it on our behalf, and where the law requires it:
- Google — Google Analytics traffic measurement, if you accepted it;
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) — sending the newsletter, if you subscribed;
- Cloudflare and our hosting servers — delivering and securing the site, and cookieless traffic measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
Your rights
At any time you may request access to the information we hold about you, its correction or deletion, and you may withdraw your consent. Contact the person in charge of the protection of personal information, whose details appear below. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Applicable law
This policy is interpreted under the laws of Quebec and Canada.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page always identifies the current version.
